We were placed in a tough group with Halliford Colts, Esher, Worcester Park and Ashford Town and ended up with a very credible 1 win, 1 draw and a couple of defeats.

We lost our opening two games 1-0, firstly against Halliford where we had 3 great chances to score before Halliford scored with their only shot on target. Against Esher we battled hard but they scored a late goal.

Our third game saw us draw 1-1 with Worcester Park, Caelen scoring a fantastic individual goal, running from the half way line ghosting past a couple of defenders to calmly to slot past the keeper.

Our final game saw us beat Ashford Town 1-0. Tommy scoring a late winner with a fine strike from the edge of the box to end the tournament on a high.

It took the boys a bit of time to get in to their stride and the games were played on much bigger pitches than they are used to and having an additional player on the pitch meant it was a little different to normal but they worked hard and performed well.

The boys are back 1st week of September to start their journey as Under 8's are all looking forward to the challenge
